In a surprising collaboration that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden group.
The questline focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Transformations
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an unique katana alongside several items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe

Latest Free Story Update
This patch also introduces the game's newest no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery."
